My CD copy of Billie’s Blues arrived and I’ve ripped it. Here is a highlight, “I Cover the Waterfront.” Note that in the 1940s, if your man or woman ran out on you, instead of calling or texting them, you actually had to go down to the docks and look around. This was definitely a pain in the ass and probably more dangerous, but it also resulted in songs like this.
