Not sure if you’ve ever had this experience, but this is a song, “Glim”, by Mouse on Mars, from 1998, and I’m pretty sure I like this track more than anyone else in the world likes this track. It’s instant happiness for me. All the rocket sounds and rapidly expanding digital clouds are for me explosions of joy. This bassline. Not really hearing a lot of stuff like this these days. People trying to write melodic, patient, playful electronic music with really interesting textures.
